well, “GOLDEN DUCK” salted egg are well known since 1983 in Vietnam, Hongkong and Japan, as the eggs are laid by ducks that are free to roam in wide open agricultural field in Mekong Delta Vietnam, fed with all -natural grains, contains no medications, preservatives, additives, hormones or antibiotics. The processed eggs are produced by a gentle coating with hay-ashes and salt after carefully inspecting and remove any imperfect ones, to ensure that the consumers can have confidence in the safety and quality of eggs.
the story continues, this hokkien kia n our group of frens went for dinner at our campus food court. as usual, we went to the same stall, ordered the same food. then this hokkien kia saw the salted egg out for sale, in fact left a few only. unluckily all the salted eggs werent broken into half yet...
was like this..
bt this hokkien kia only wanted half of the egg.
yeah! like this, half!
so he had a conversation with the makcik at the stall..
hokkien kia:"Makcik, tolong buka telur."
makcik :"Huh?"
hokkien kia:"Neh, buka telur ini."
makcik :"Belah telur kah?"
hokkien kia:"Ya ya. haha."
all of us laughed till stomach almost burst. Belah telur then belah telur lar wat buka telur! bcoz in hokkien we often use the word 'kui' means open or 'chiet' means slice to break something. that's why this hokkien kia translated directly from hokkien to local language. this shows how strong hokkien is! haha
HOKKIEN KUAN SEI KAI! (hokkien rules the world)
anyway, the hokkien kia is..
