afternoon wanted to go 1utama but that cb chia hui didnt want to go. really cb lor him, i din go his clubbing last night then now wanted to take revenge.
good also lar. SL called Ah Wah ko, he's in Alor Setar already. then save money dont go 1utama lor. wait next time lar!!

what's this
im a mechanical engineering student and yet i dont look like. mechanical? what's mechanical?
last week when we had our CAD lab. (machine design lab). this tutor ler, very diu but i like him, during the lab, keep asking us questions and making explanations. erm, last week, we did Gearbox lab. ran the experiment.
basic question from him. "what's gearbox?"
i answered "Got gearbox, can shift gear then car can move lor." i stared at my friend, he also nga nga stared back at me.
3 of us gave so lame explanations to him.
"Gearbox is to generate torque in the engine. just to put in simple words." he said.
wahlao... TORQUE, want explain so chim bo? actually his statement is understood already. but we could not give him the exact explanation.
then he asked us again, "When u read the car cataloque before buying a car, it stated there maximum torque, what does it mean?"
"Erm, maximum torque relates to the rev in the engine, high torque means rev a lot lor, then the car powerful lor." so lame sial the way we answered.
"Actually, when can we achieve maximum torque? only the gear 1 in our car, can give us the maximum torque, whenever u initiate ur car with gear 1 with the most powerful as it can, that's the power of ur car. U cant achieve maximum torque with gear 2, gear 3. Gear 2, 3 and so on, the torque tends to maintain constant. When we plot graph of torque, we can see."
sometimes i feel ashamed, being mechanical student dont know much about this basic knowledge. i dont know, just seldom explore the idea of this because not so interested in car lar honestly.
so give me a chance lar, to study anything about the car engine from now. (eventhough nt interested also have to face it) im trying to love car, bagi chance lar bang! if i still cant love it also dont blame me. everywhere i see, mechanical student do thing related to car only. although i know mechanical is wide but why always get related to car, is car the simplest mechanism to understand mechanical?

the feeling of 'am song' (暗爽)
haha. kenot tahan liaw.
this weekend (26th n 27th) is our annual event, Uniten Badminton Championship (UBC) 2008. every badminton enthusiast at uniten is looking forward to this tourney to measure their skill, performance and of course their standard! haha. we tried to make this year event interesting by marking players. (we emphasize very much on players results to qualify for MASUM 2009 training team, training only not the first team yet, those semi finalist gt themselves a place for sure).
and why i 'am song' (暗爽) ler? i purposely dont want to take part! muahahahaha...
many people asking me "Wei ren, u playing? gt partner?" haha, i know they want me to play. Pro mar! haha. you know that kind of feeling? walking around the campus, all the friends asking me playing or not. and i answer them i dont play, they sure ask why, then i say i dont want lor. that's the am song feeling!!
haha. actually i have my own reason not to play... not because of am song feeling.
1. my form is still not there.
2. physical kanasai.
3. a bit sien since i've been playing for two years.
4. not so desperate to compete like before.
5. another event coming up just 2 weeks (9th, 10th Aug) after the UBC. i chose one.
6. most imprtantly is kiasu. im very kiasu!
yeah. uniten most anticipating badminton event coming up in 3 weeks time. 3 on 3 Badminton Challenge! i chose to take part in this. it's the very first of its kind event to be held in uniten and also west malaysia. a team event consisting of 3 players.

while i could stil remember, we (jacky, loong, ung, chia hui, me) were at this Dataran Pahlawan sitting on the bench waiting for david and kenny in toilet.
somehow got one woman, i observed her in the Ogawa shop for quite a long time negotiating something with the sales promoter with her husband sitting on the massage chair.

test drive day 2
morning went for breakfast at Quen Choon laksa.
* the rpm reading.
one thing is the rpm can reach 3 at 80km/h. that's quite high if compared to my cars. usually my corolla AE92 only reaches 2.5 at 80km/h while corolla Altis only reaches about 2 at 80km/h. anyway, Savvy is still popular for the most fuel efficient car in the world (if not mistaken, it still stays at no.1 spot)
according to the sales consultant, travelling from Kuching to Serian at constant speed of 60km/h, it only consumes rm8.90 of petrol but that's the old fuel rate.
after that we went to Jimisar Honda agent. it's only because we're interested in their new Honda Accord. we did not miss the test drive also. only 2.4v Accord available for test drive. first impression, class man! interior is simply too comfortable, spacious enough, larger than the Mitsubishi Lancer.
* New Accord dashboard.
we headed to Edaran Proton at airport road. why? to test drive Proton Savvy! the salesman was very friendly. cool enough spent about an hour there. discussed all about the proton cars especially Savvy.
for me, Savvy is stable if compared with other Proton cars. i like its gear lever pretty much. it's semi-auto by the way. so we can shift from manual to auto and vice versa. for manual shifting, just push up and pull down, then the gear changes. too bad, there's no manual button on the steering but i think the gear lever is too good enough to have the button on the steering already. haha.

power wise, i still prefer Lancer maybe because of the smooth gear transmission by CVT. Accord is like a bit heavy to push maybe because of the weight of the body for stability.
anyway, i dont like the new Honda Accord. not that it's not affordable but honestly not my type. haha.
what's next? looking for half-cut outlet to find any suitable engine for corolla AE92.

test drive day
what did i do today?
went to tHe spring to collect cheque. somehow GM nt in then went for hair cut at cutting edge before going to her office again.
after that was the real thing, we went for car test drive!
first station, Perodua showroom. we tested Viva since chia hui interested in it. viva is simply too fragile like sitting in cola tin but powerful. we even tried its ABS, wow, 16-clamp per second. heard the 'krook krook' sound very yeng lar!
second station, Mitsubishi showroom at Tun Jugah road. what car did we test? it's Mitsubishi Lanser 2.0 GLS. wahlan yer, spacious, interior damn nice. i like the carbon finishing (not really carbon but look like carbon) on the dashboard. we sped along Tun Jugah road reaching 140km/h in dont know how many seconds but i know a while only. haha. using auto transmission. then we tried its manual transmission. we can shift its manual gear two ways. one on the steering and the other on the gear panel box. sat chin!
* on Tun Jugah road before reaching the U-turn for 'lapping'. =P
this GLS model comes with MIVEC DOHC 16-valve engine, displacement of 1998. its transmission is now equipped with CVT technology sport mode plus INVECS-III.
* MIVEC engine.
but this car at current fuel rate, 36-37km per rm10. high fuel consumption rite?
then we head for third station, Volkswagen showroom. we had a look for interior for both Golf GTi and Beetle. there's one model, Passat, according to the salesman, it can go faster than Fairlady. believe it? only 2.0cc.
for Golf GTi, it comes with turbo-charged engine of 2.0cc. quite amazing is it can achieve 0-100km/h in 6.9s only.
too bad, Volkswagen could not test drive because no test drive units available. appointment can be made for test drive in future.
what's next? the new Honda Accord.

my murano
after reading kenny blog.
* this is the old version of Nissan Murano.
i think maybe we have to get a 'fierce' car. so that no one dare to touch. on the street, if i see a car with black colour and heavily tinted plus a small 'police' plate on the plate number, i will not dare to touch. only dare to see from far. because i dont know whose car it is. maybe it belongs to someone who got some high position in this society, either white or dark side.
i got a dream car right now after the Honda EK, it is Nissan Murano. i just saw a staff, i dont know about his position but i can see he's in somewhat high position in tHe spring management. he drives a black nissan murano. his appearance is quite same as me, he got long sideburn, his eyebrow very thick, his eyes very small, fierce fierce like that. walk also cool cool, seldom smile. i dont know his name but i know he always walk around with Andy Song, tHe spring leasing manager. Andy drives Peugeot 307 but i dont admire him, he just does not have the style.

bye bye by mariah carey
well well well. 3 months almost over now. before the holidays, at uni i thought it would be a dull holiday but it turned out to be quite, quite lar, enjoyable holidays.
basically, i spent my holiday wisely. wisely? quite lar! haha. i reached kuching on 5th april.
in the month of april, besides applying for training at XFab (1st silicon), also preparing for sarawak closed I 2008 tourney. haha, that month, tuesday and thursday nights went for badminton lecture at KPCA. sparring with the uncles include Andy and 'aeroplane' head, Guo Lin. hmmm. we played to deuce arrr!!! 23-21 but still lost. keke. then after match, post mortem with yew zion. roughly that's the month of april.
end of april, cant wait for the late reply of XFab plus that CB LUCAS. then went to seek for part time jobs around kuching. spring my target. ajak loong also, saw him everyday 'proved his true self' at home ma ask him find work also lor. at first we went to padini but then this padini so fussy, want photostated ic, passport photos. fill forms. then we tried big apple since loong said they advertise for staff vacancy.
then the cute GM, janet straight away employed us. May 1 started. working at BIg Apple, 'not to say them bad, is not bad lar' hahahaha..
whole months of may and june only know, wake up-work-off duty-badminton-sleep, then the cycle repeat.
this job aint that easy, sometimes very hectic during weekends. i could still remember on 2nd of june when the staff were not sufficient plus the customers also hell alot. jia jia stressful when i was in-charge of topping and frontline since the frontline not enough staff. then all the CB customers flooded the whole place waiting for the CB Alien. till now i dont know what's so special about the Alien. that time i topped the Alien then i refilled. i was just about to refill, 3-4 customers shouting "2 alien here, 1 alien there, 3 alien here.."
CB, like i dont want give them Alien. i shouted back "Wait!! one by one!!!" after giving them the Alien, i slammed the tray back on the rack. all my staff looking at me. then i went to the store to cooooooooooooooooool down. so cool man! really sien that time, if can, i want to give each of the customers one big punch. CB.
then the cute CB GM, janet keep asking us to stay till closing since not enough staff.
"Can you stay tonight? Boss will pay you accordingly." CB, how much the OT paid? rm2.30!!!!!
dont want lar! what for? for that rm2.30 then want to get stressful for nothing. common, it's holiday, what for to get through this thing? hahaha, true or not?
then after the announcement of fuel hike, the sale also decreased PERPENDICULARLY. haha
our job getting relax. song like sial! everyday clean the stuff, then eat donut as we like. from there on, there were two snakes, the Anaconda and the King Cobra. in fact, these two snakes cant get together but at Big Apple here, they can get well together.
no matter what, i would still want to thank all the staff for their guidance and whatever they did to help each other to get thorugh everything during the time working together.

Tri: i think he's the best staff at Big Apple, most efficient staff, fast and quality. always taught him chinese but all the foul language. haha
Saryono: he's good but not as good as Tri. an experienced staff, know what to do at every situation.
Agus: this guy very pity. he was like a waste at Big Apple on his first day here, everyday he did was not right. he was forced to eat chili also. but now he's the one making order at topping unit. he found himself already!
Wong: this lady was slow like turtle. very talkative. always talk the thing i dont know. so i always listen only. anyway, she resigned already.

basically, i spent my holiday wisely. wisely? quite lar! haha. i reached kuching on 5th april.
in the month of april, besides applying for training at XFab (1st silicon), also preparing for sarawak closed I 2008 tourney. haha, that month, tuesday and thursday nights went for badminton lecture at KPCA. sparring with the uncles include Andy and 'aeroplane' head, Guo Lin. hmmm. we played to deuce arrr!!! 23-21 but still lost. keke. then after match, post mortem with yew zion. roughly that's the month of april.
end of april, cant wait for the late reply of XFab plus that CB LUCAS. then went to seek for part time jobs around kuching. spring my target. ajak loong also, saw him everyday 'proved his true self' at home ma ask him find work also lor. at first we went to padini but then this padini so fussy, want photostated ic, passport photos. fill forms. then we tried big apple since loong said they advertise for staff vacancy.
then the cute GM, janet straight away employed us. May 1 started. working at BIg Apple, 'not to say them bad, is not bad lar' hahahaha..
whole months of may and june only know, wake up-work-off duty-badminton-sleep, then the cycle repeat.
this job aint that easy, sometimes very hectic during weekends. i could still remember on 2nd of june when the staff were not sufficient plus the customers also hell alot. jia jia stressful when i was in-charge of topping and frontline since the frontline not enough staff. then all the CB customers flooded the whole place waiting for the CB Alien. till now i dont know what's so special about the Alien. that time i topped the Alien then i refilled. i was just about to refill, 3-4 customers shouting "2 alien here, 1 alien there, 3 alien here.."
CB, like i dont want give them Alien. i shouted back "Wait!! one by one!!!" after giving them the Alien, i slammed the tray back on the rack. all my staff looking at me. then i went to the store to cooooooooooooooooool down. so cool man! really sien that time, if can, i want to give each of the customers one big punch. CB.
then the cute CB GM, janet keep asking us to stay till closing since not enough staff.
"Can you stay tonight? Boss will pay you accordingly." CB, how much the OT paid? rm2.30!!!!!

then after the announcement of fuel hike, the sale also decreased PERPENDICULARLY. haha
our job getting relax. song like sial! everyday clean the stuff, then eat donut as we like. from there on, there were two snakes, the Anaconda and the King Cobra. in fact, these two snakes cant get together but at Big Apple here, they can get well together.
no matter what, i would still want to thank all the staff for their guidance and whatever they did to help each other to get thorugh everything during the time working together.
Production Unit:
