we headed to Edaran Proton at airport road. why? to test drive Proton Savvy! the salesman was very friendly. cool enough spent about an hour there. discussed all about the proton cars especially Savvy.
for me, Savvy is stable if compared with other Proton cars. i like its gear lever pretty much. it's semi-auto by the way. so we can shift from manual to auto and vice versa. for manual shifting, just push up and pull down, then the gear changes. too bad, there's no manual button on the steering but i think the gear lever is too good enough to have the button on the steering already. haha.
* the rpm reading.one thing is the rpm can reach 3 at 80km/h. that's quite high if compared to my cars. usually my corolla AE92 only reaches 2.5 at 80km/h while corolla Altis only reaches about 2 at 80km/h. anyway, Savvy is still popular for the most fuel efficient car in the world (if not mistaken, it still stays at no.1 spot)
according to the sales consultant, travelling from Kuching to Serian at constant speed of 60km/h, it only consumes rm8.90 of petrol but that's the old fuel rate.
after that we went to Jimisar Honda agent. it's only because we're interested in their new Honda Accord. we did not miss the test drive also. only 2.4v Accord available for test drive. first impression, class man! interior is simply too comfortable, spacious enough, larger than the Mitsubishi Lancer.
* New Accord dashboard.haha. the dashboard just like aircraft navigator. damn hell lot of buttons. push the wrong button, it will achieve emergency landing. haha
power wise, i still prefer Lancer maybe because of the smooth gear transmission by CVT. Accord is like a bit heavy to push maybe because of the weight of the body for stability.
anyway, i dont like the new Honda Accord. not that it's not affordable but honestly not my type. haha.
what's next? looking for half-cut outlet to find any suitable engine for corolla AE92.
